PENMAN looks ideally placed here.

‍

He ran very well on debut, when 2nd behind a decent one in MCTAGGART. 

‍

SCREAMING DIVA was 3rd and previously had placed behind the smart GREECE (Thrashed- but ran well).

‍

The 5th horse in that debut run was - KING NEPTUNE, he then came out and ran a cracking 2nd at Bendigo in a much stronger maiden than this..

‍

The form stacks up nicely around this colt and from gate 2, he should get all the favors in running. 

‍

Hard to beat.

👑➡️RACE 6- B58, B58 - 1117m⬅️👑

‍

⭐#7 SAN TELMOS FIRE * win ($3.3)

⭐#10 PIENTRE'S PRIDE ew ($5)

‍

Big drop in grade here for #7 SAN TELMO FIRE. She should beat these.

‍

Last start at B70 level, she daahed home recording very good late splits behind the smart filly DUSSE (Stakes type).

‍

Back in this grade, in a race where she will get her desired pace on up front, there will be no excuses for this 4YO mare if she can't knock these off.

‍

#10 PIENTRE'S PRIDE was good winning on debut.... This isnt much harder (utside of SAN TELMOS FIRE)  She looks a definite Top 2 chance.

⭐#5 WHATAFOX win ($3)

⭐#7 LADY PRIOSIR ew ($7.5)

Loved the first up win this campaign but the Maher trained #5 WHATAFOX ($3).

‍

She's always promised a lot and while it was a soft maiden at Echuca, she gave them a hiding and looks to have returned a far better horse after the break... 

‍

She can fullfill here potential this time in and progress through her grades.

‍

#7 LADY PROISIR ($7.5) is still trying to get out at Flemington...  Forgot that run...She looked to have plenty to offer if she saw any clear air, in what is stronger grade than this...

‍

Not sure this track and gate 1 is ideal for her, but if she bowled them over I'd hardly be shocked. 

‍

#6 CHANDON BURJ ($3.4)- (Bussetin 👎) & #2 STANDOFF ($6) are both in very good form.

‍

Certainly prefer STANDOFF if she was on a bigger/less tight turning track like the Valley, but she's in career best form this time in, so hard to ignore her.

⭐#1 CORTES ew ($4.6)

Loved the recent jump out of #10 WHITE RUSSIAN ($2.8)...  

‍

She looks to have a returned a much better/mature  filly this time in (Much like stable mate- Whatafox).. Hard to beat going off that recent jump out in this grade!

‍

#1 CORTES ($4.4) & #8 HOLLY LOLLY ($4.2) both look talented.

‍

But they might need to produce big efforts here to knock the "Russian" off.

#2 ALONG THE RIVER win ($2.8)

‍

He looks to have returned very well again this prep - #2 ALONG THE RIVER.

‍

He was a good thing licked two back at Mornington and last start in a much tougher race than this at Flemington, it was also a hard watch...😨

‍

He has a big class edge on these, not too mention a superior turn of foot, but his racing pattern can get him in trouble.

‍

Gate 1 may not be ideal either,  but providing he can overcome that and the track is playing evenly, hel just need 200m of fresh air when it matters and he can run over these.

‍

🇦🇺BALLARAT CUP DAY- SATURDAY 🐎

👑➡️RACE 1- Mares, B78⬅️👑

‍

⭐#10 BELLE ET RICHE ew ($5.5)

⭐#7 DEVILS TRIANGLE ew ($11)

⭐#6 HYPOTHETICAL ($2.8)

‍

The 4YO mare #10 BELLE ET RICHE ($5.5) has jumped out super in prep for this first. She looks very forward.

‍

She also has good wet track stats and I'd be surprised if she wasn't screwed down for this first up.

‍

#7 DEVILS TRIANGLE ($11) is the other runner who excels on wet ground. (They are predicting rain, but they have got it wrong ALL spring)

‍

He's a very good wet tracker and ventures  south of the border for this with the right form. Oliver takes the ride. Right in this.

‍

#6 HYPOTHETICAL ($2.8) is a deserved favorite and flying this prep this mare ..

‍

She also goes all track conditions, (half don't) and she will have plenty of admirers in her corner here!

⭐#1 KINGS CONSORT ($3.3)

⭐#3 DEEKAY ($3.3)

Much like the market, I found it hard to split these 2...  

‍

#1 KINGS CONSORT has the score on the board already and I slightly favor him.

‍

He had a big flashing light on him last start at Flemington, hinting hes ready to fire here.

‍

#3 DEEKAY is the up and comer and not out of this. He's a big striding boy, who puts himself on pace and can sustain a nice sprint when asked... 

‍

DEEKAY will likely look the winner for a long way here. 

‍

KINGS CONSORT will have a bullseye firmly on his back in the run and be looking to gun him down late.

‍

👑➡️RACE 3- MM 2YO CLASSIC ⬅️👑

⭐#11 SASSY BOOM*** win ($3.8)

⭐#9 MALABOOM ew ($6)

‍

Big fan of the way this 2YO filly #11 SASSY BOOM ($3.8) moves.  She looks a lovely type.

‍

She looks more like a 3YO, shows early speed and has a lovely action on her..   

‍

She looks more than handy and very keen on her in this with Johnny Allen on top.

‍

#9 MALABOOM ($6) has jumped out well in Sydney and been kept very safe in early markets.. 

‍

More than likely had multiple gallops/experience on soft/wet ground as well which is likely race day.

#14 LIBIAMO's last two runs have been excellent since crossing back to Simon Zahra.

‍

Last run behind a smart mare in ASFOORA was very good.

‍

👑➡️RACE 7- 3YO &4YO MM, 1100m⬅️👑

⭐#11 A LITTLE DEEP ew ($6.5)

⭐#8 PENTHOUSE ew ($12)

The Maher/Eustace filly #11 A LITTLE DEEP ($6.5) couldn't of been much more impressive on debut... She looks smart, draws 5 and gets in very well at the weights..

‍

#8 PENTHOUSE ($12) brings very good form and looks over the odds. She draws 2 with Meech on, and shows good natural pace... She will look to lead obviously.

‍

Two runs back she was run down late, beaten under 2lens by a pretty handy one in- IN SECRET!! 😳 (Heard of her!?)

‍

👑➡️RACE 8,BALLARAT CUP ⬅️👑

‍

⭐#4 BANKERS CHOICE ew ($4.6)

⭐#12 FLASH AAH ew ($23)

‍

BANKERS CHOICE ($4.6) deserves to win this...  He's not a big fan of winnning this horse, but he's been mixing it with far better animals than this- all spring.

‍

2nd to the smart MY OBERON, 2 starts back and a huge run in the G1 Champion Stakes behind Zaaki and co when not enjoying the best of runs in transit stands out ridiculously well for a race of this nature.

‍

Draws gate 1, 57kgs very manageable and handles all track conditions. He looks a great each way bet in this..

‍

#12 FLASH AAH ($23) is the blowout hope in this at big odds.

‍

Especially if the tempo is solid early and the rain arrives (2 wins  from 3 on Heavy)... 

‍

Obviously the Waller pair #3 ATISHU ($3.8) and #2 POLLY GREY ($8) have to be included....  Particularly POLLY GREY if the track is chopped up.... He adores it.

‍

👑➡️RACE 9- BM 100-1200m⬅️👑

‍

⭐#4 KING OF HASTINGS ew ($11)

⭐#10 SNAPPER ew ($5)

‍

Pretty keen on #4 KING OF HASTINGS ($11) each way here..

‍

He has jumped out SUPER in preparation for this first up run. This looks an ideal target race for this horse. 

‍

Good fresh, good all conditions, gate not ideal, but can be finishing very hard late here and win..

MUNHAMEK meets DETONATOR JACK - 3.5kgs better at the weights from there last run at Flemington.

BUT let's be honest...  Whos a better horse and who has more upside? 

‍

I'm in "Jacks" corner all day...  He's a very smart horse..

‍

Think they can quinella the race again, but I can't see MUNHAMEK turning the tables even with the weight swing.
