🟩 RACE 1 🟩
#6 RIVER RIBBLE win ($3)
RIVER RIBBLE showed a very neat turn of foot first up at the provincials in a performance that had a lot of resemblance to recent, impressive midweek winner "FIRE" on Wednesday at Sandown...
He's only had the 3 career starts this colt, and outside his very impressive first up win, he does boast a close 2nd to the erratic/yet talented G1 performed galloper in MERCHANT PRINCE .
From a middle gate, with only 55kgs on his back and Jye McNeil in the saddle, this 2YO colt can build on his promising career with a win here over some talented opposition.
#4 HAFEY ($6) couldn't of been more impressive on debut at Bendigo, before being well fancied in the G1 Blue Diamond at only his 2nd start, where it was a total forgive run... He must be respected here first up.
Hard to pot the airborne top weight in #1 THRONEBONE ($4.8)... While he does have to anchor the big weight, he's claimed some big scalps in his past two runs.
#8 CHESTER WARRIOR ($12) has jumped out well in prep for this debut run for the Hayes camp . He draws ideally in gate 2 and and should get race run too suit .
He strikes a stiff test here on debut, but if he was to figure right in the finish here, it won't come as a shock.
Good race, but happy to be in the corner of RIVER RIBBLE in this. He looks a nice horse with a sense of timing about him in this at the weights alone.

🟩 RACE 2 🟩
#8 BOOGIE DANCER*** win ($2.2)
Loved the way this 2YO filly let down last start at Sandown, when coming from back in the field, navagating into clear air, before pouncing and puting the race away in a moment of two strides....
While this is clearly harder, I'd be trusting what we saw last time with her turn of foot when asked... She was nothing short of explosive!! 😳
If she gets the similiar favors in running here, it'll take a nice young one to out-sprint her.

🟩 RACE 6 🟩
#8 SANDY PRINCE ($4)
#2 PASCERO ($3.8)
#6 POUNDING ($7)
Found it hard to split 3 horses in this- SANDY PRINCE, PASCERO & POUNDING.
SANDY PRINCE is a talented horse and returns here after bleeding at his last start...
While the risk % on any horse after bleed has to be factored into your evaluations, the one thing we do know, is more often than not, bleeders peak performances in there following preparation are generally first up/fresh....
If his recent jump outs at Flemington are any indication on how he looks to have returned this preparation, you'd also go into this race quite bullish....
He's most recent jump out was one of the better pieces of work all morning at Flemington, where he worked extremely well and he looks ready to fire here first up..
#2 PASCERO is a very nice horse from a very poor stable.... We were very keen on his chances last weekend, until he was scratched race morning...
His first up run over an unsuitable trip behind Passive Aggressive, Star Patrol etc was a cracker!!
#6 POUNDING ($6) opened up at silly odds ($16) and the smarties pounced quickly to correct him back into his right price....
He's a horse that showed good talent last time in and to the naked eye, his jump outs suggest he's returned a bigger and better prospect this preparation. Definite threat.
#5 LLOYD'S CROWN ($18) Is as honest as the days long and a top 3 finish not beyond him in this...
He was absolutely rinsed last start by Linda Meech... For him to be any chance of spoiling the party here, he has to lead....It's that simple....
Linda Meech is a "decent/overrated" front running jockey, but, let's be honest, there are better 4kg claimers riding on the picnic circuit if she is asked to do anything but lead... Yes or Yes?

🟩 RACE 8- BLETCHINGLY STAKES 🟩
#7 KING OF SPARTA ew ($6)
#10 MARAMIA ew ($8)
Think we can have a nibble on this pair both each way here and get a result in the BLETCHINGLY.
Is there a stable in the land that know when to bring the right one to Melbourne better than the Snowdens!? They have an uncanny knack of pulling the right strings with horses like this boy KING OF SPARTA.
He is a horse that has showed well above average ability since day one and on more than one occasion, probably hasn't had things go his way in much stronger races than this ..
3 starts back he bowled them over in a $2M race on the Gold Coast and he also boasts very good form around crack 3YO's like PAULELE..... (What price Paulele in this?)
There looks to be some real tempo in this race too, which could see the field spread out mid race.... From gate 1, Jye McNeil, and what looks a drop in class from what he's used to facing, I can envisage him steam rolling these with even luck in running... He's a smart horse!!
#10 MARAMIA ($8) is the other horse in the race I want to be on each way...
She gets in well at the weights this mare and while she draws a sticky gate in 9, there should be ample speed early on for her to drift across and find a spot midfield 3 or 4 pairs back, one off (Kah is allergic to the fence in any case)...
We also don't need to look back too far in the mares form guide to realise that the last time she ventured to Caulfield, she was beaten in a bob of the heads by a little mate called PROBABEEL (Heard of her?) ...
A repeat of that performance, and her number goes in the frame!! 📸
Good Luck!!! 🥷👊
