♎RACE 8- BENALLA CUP, 2046m ♎

💥#4 SPANISH TIDES win ($3)

💥#3 NOT USUAL GLORIOUS ($2.6)

Found it hard too split the #3 & #4 here...

‍

Both horses are in very good form this prep, both rock hard fit, reliable and extremely well in at the weights ... 

‍

I'd be surprised if one of the two doesn't win.

‍

#4 SPANISH TIDES is a 6YO mare in career best form... She's just flying this time in... "Mares in form, STICK" !! 

‍

#3 NOT USUAL GLORIOUS is just a good honest trier who puts in, each and everytime he goes to the races. 

‍

He also looks the clear leader here and look to dictate the race on his own terms.? 

‍

He is also deadset swimmer this horse (Heavy- 6 starts - 4 x wins, 1x placing)...

‍

Theres a lot in his favor!! ✅

‍

#1 DARK DREAM ($7.5) is the class in the race..... BUT which DARK DREAM will turn up!?? Anything near his best form, would blow these ALL away! 

‍

#5 WYCLIFF ($10) is the other horse in the race that can improve sharply 2nd up and win without totally shocking. 

‍

While his ability has never been the query, more so, he's just an inconsistent rat.

‍

While a big run is well within his capabilities against this very moderate line up, you are certainlytaking him on trust #Goodluck 

‍

♎RACE 9- B70, 1400m ♎

‍

💥#7 ATOMIC GOLD ew ($4.6)

💥#8 ZA'EX ew ($34)

‍

This Dan Bowman trained/lightly raced 5YO, #7 ATOMIC GOLD ($4.6) looks to have found his mojo this time in... 

‍

He's an absolute mudlark this horse as well and has revellled in the Heavy 10 conditions at his past two starts, winning impressively on his ear, on both occasions.

‍

He also opened up at $9 in early markets this horse and while he's drawn gate 13, rises in class and has been asked to carry 60kgs, it certainly hasn't stopped the punters from piling into him ever since...  

‍

He's been heavily backed and his current price of $4.6 with the corps, could yet trim up even further come race time.  He's without doubt, the one too beat.

‍

The other horse in the race that I want to have a small nibble on each way at a big price first up, is the Cindy Alderson trained 5YO- #8 ZA'EX ($34).

‍

Granted his best form is over much further distances than this 1400m assignment and hel benefit greatly from this run, he's capable of sprinting well fresh here.

‍

Obviously there are queries with him first up, along with his wet track statistics on paper.

‍

BUT.....  I was really taken with his most recent trial (on a Heavy 10 track) at Cranbourne.

‍

He settled last in running early, before being angled out wide on turning and worked home well under double wraps to run a closing 4th in the heat behind a pair of Group horses in ARYTON & ADELE AMOUR! 

‍

He looks to have come back a better horse this time in to the eye and I like the fact Dan Stackhouse has been booked to ride him .... (2 x Rides -  2x Wins on him) ... 

‍

The other two key players in the race that I'd be keeping very safe in trifectas, Quaddies etc.... are #18 SUPARAZI ($9)- (Ran super first up!)

#11 RICH DIVINITY ($5.5) - (Loves  Heavy tracks, building a nice record).

🇦🇺 MOONEY VALLEY FRIDAY 🥷

#Please note- This track is a joke. 

‍

I've done this form on it playing somewhat evenly, but hardly brimming with confidence on that being the outcome.

‍

It borders on impossible to go into this meeting with any real confidence until it becomes clear after the first 2-3 races, on whether or not it will play evenly.

‍

Last time they raced here, it raced uncannily/comparable too that of a 280 metre scamper at the Dapto dogs on a Tuesday night, where the first dog that gets to front/fence/fast lanes/first= Likely wins.😐👎

‍

That being said, it's a fantastic card and if the track plays half evenly on the night (Big IF?) , there are couple at big odds here that id be keen nibble on each way.

♎RACE 1- 3YO, 1200m ♎

💥#12 OCEANS ABOVE ew ($21)

Looks too be plenty of pace engaged in this.

‍

Why is #12 OCEANS ABOVE ($21) 😳!!???? 

‍

His debut win was IMPOSSIBLE too forget/ignore. 

‍

Yes, it was just a midweek maiden at Pakenham in April, but boy oh boy, did he make an impression!! 👀....

‍

He let down over the final 400m of that race like a horse destined for FAR better races!!! 

‍

It's not that he thrashed a moderate bunch, or the big margin he won by, but more so the way he did it..  

‍

He's a lovely moving animal this bloke, with a touch of presence & X-Factor about him. 

‍

He's a big, big threat here and looks gross overs for mine at the $21 he has opened up at on the corps.

♎RACE 2-  SCARBOROUGH STAKES ♎

💥#2 QUEEN OF THE BALL ew ($6.5)

💥#5 BOUND FOR HOME ew ($5)

Can't split the top two selections here.

She's a beauty this filly #5 BOUND FOR HOME.  AND somewhat surprisingly it seems, still underated. (She shouldn't be!)

‍

She was outstanding first up, when she produced a sizzling finale in the G3 Quezette... She really let down when clear air presented itself ..

‍

What I found most interesting about that first up victory, was not only did she present like a filly that most likely needed that run in the parade ring, but also her trainer (Archie Alexander) post race, seeming shocked as he knew she wasn't screwed down and had a lot of improvement in her to come...   

‍

She can only be fitter 2nd up here.  She is also  very adaptable to all track conditions.

‍

She can sit on, or off the pace  and she's just a professional little filly that pins her ears back and puts in each and every time!!! She ticks a lot of boxes. ✅✅

‍

VERY wary of any of the Sydney -3YO's coming south of the border. They look to have an edge on the Melbourne 3YO's.

‍

This 3YO filly #2 QUEEN OF THE BALL ($6.5) is no exception. 

‍

She was a very good winner of the G3 Black Opal Stakes last prep, but more importantly, she's returned as a nice 3YO as well that can go on with it this spring...?

‍

First up in the G2 Silver Shadow, she lead them up at a solid tempo and was only overhauled late on by a couple of very smart ones in ZOUGOTCHA & IN SECRET...

‍

That form has already stood up with ZOUGOTCHA winning impressively again last weekend.

‍

She will take some running down in this if she gets things on her own terms early and Blake Shinn is a very good front running hoop/judge of pace.

♎RACE 4- G2 STUTT STAKES ♎

💥#6 RINGMASTER * ew ($9.5)

‍

If the track is playing evenly, I'm very keen on the chances of #6 RINGMASTER here at big odds...  

‍

While all the chat and hype out of his last race start was rightly so on the smart  BERKELEY SQUARE performance, what most seemed too overlook on the current markets, is this horses run.!!?

‍

ANYTHING that could of gone wrong in the run DID...  He was the biggest run in the race outside the winner. No doubt.

‍

He not only missed the kick and settled last early off what ended up being a very  moderate tempo up front, he then proceeded to want to overrace in the mid sections of the race.

‍

Upon straightening, Olllie had nothing but brick walls in front of him to try and somehow hurdle/navigate.. 

‍

He was literally stopped in his tracks on 'Multiple' occasions in the straight this horse, when looking too have more than a lap full of horse underneath him! 😳

‍

While the form guide might say he finished 8th last start, with even luck in running, he arguably wins the race or goes awfully close!!!??. 

‍

He draws nicely in gate 6 here and if the pace is genuine early and the breaks go his way, he will take a power of holding out this horse!  

‍

He looks a great each way play at odds.

♎RACE 5- B84, 955m ♎

💥#8 ASFOORA win ($2.3)

💥#6 THE FRONT BAR ew ($6.5)

Two bet play here in this 955m scamper..

‍

#8 ASFOORA returned in brilliant fashion first up at Sandown...  She was explosive!! 😳 She's Impossible to knock.

‍

If there happened to be a mini boilover in the race, it might be the ex-WA galloper in #6 THE FRONT BAR ($6.5)... 

‍

Shes a very good 4YO mare with an impreccable record in the West.  

‍

I thought her most recent jump out oozed a bit of class and she's a beautiful mover. She's a good horse.

‍

#4 YULONG COMMAND ($8) loves this track and distance..  He was near uncatchable last season in these type of races! 

‍

Judging by his recent jump outs in preparation for this first up run, he looks too have come back in the same type of form...?  

‍

He'l look the winner for a long part of the straight in this no doubt, but inside the final 100m, hel have to withstand ASFOORA and THE FRONT BAR launching at him hard late..

🇦🇺 MORNINGTON SATURDAY 🐎

♎RACE 8- BM 70, 1200m ♎

💥#1 IT'S TORNADO STORM ew ($21)

💥#18 HESKET ew ($16)

I think there's two roughies in this that have come up big overs in this race.

‍

#1 IT'S TORNADO STORM ($21) is a smart horse and resumes here first up for the Noonan's.  

‍

He's 1 from 1 at the track and I like the way he jumped out recently, when they certainly had no intention of showing there hand on how he's going..  

‍

It was a hot trial field too, with LAVISH GIRL,  I AM SUPERMAN & G1 winner ODEUM finishing a few lens in front of him, but under more pressure to do so...

‍

I AM SUPERMAN then ran a cracker at G1 level last week and LAVISH GIRL looked the winner last week until being overhauled late by the smart ZAPATEO.

‍

While he's more of a 1600m horse, I can envisage him being screwed down enough here to run a bottler first up at big odds!! 

‍

#18 HESKET ($16) also looks well over the odds here and draws nicely in gate 1, where he should get all the favors in running...

‍

First up he ran very well at Sale behind a very progressive type in MISS JENNIFER who is building an impressive resume and destined for better grade...

‍

At the big odds currently on offer, I think we can back both horses here on a (1x win- 3x place) type betting strategy.

‍
