🟥 MOONEY VALLEY RACE 2 🟥

🏆R2 no3 SWEET KAROLINA ew ($4.4)

🥈R2 no5 AMERICAN ANGEL ($3.2)

🥉R2 no4 STAR OF EDEN ($4.5)

This 4YO mare SWEET KAROLINA has really turned the corner this time in!

She's certainly tested the punters patience throughout her career this girl, with her 'Get back, run on, just miss' type racing pattern, but she seems to have a bit more intent about her now and for the first time 'EVER' I want to be with her in this each way.

She draws ideally in Gate 3, with Johnny Allen in the saddle and if the tempo goes on from the 600-700m, he can bide his time here, suck up behind them and I think her superior turn of foot can put these away providing she has an uninterrupted run in transit.

STAR OF EDEN ($4.5) (Blinkers on) & AMERICAN ANGEL ($3.2) are both in good form and well placed again. The two clear threats in the race.

🥉R5 no4 PINSTRIPED ($2.5)

DANNY'S ST DARCI is a filly in rare form... She's absolutely flying this time in! 👀...

Although she draws a sticky gate here, there looks to be good pace on, so she will be able to drift back and slot in here and watch the pace unfold .

She has a lovely change of gears this girl and I envisage her sliding into the race 3-4 wide on the bend here and rounding them up with only 55kgs to carry and a more than competent rider in Josh Richards on top. ✅

PINSTRIPED flogged a very poor field on a heavy track on debut and while it was visually impressive, and he has jumped out well leading into this, I think the $2.50 on offer looks big unders and I'm happy to take him on..

LUNA CAT has a terrific turn of foot when ridden right and races particular well at Mooney Valley. She has been too close in running her past couple... She needs to be ridden cold and saved up for one last shot them.. Can win, if given the opportunity.

MARABI ($1.70) is a lovely horse, but boy oh boy, she's short enough isn't she!!?? 😨...

She really isn't that well in at the weights (WFA conditions) and this is by far her toughest assignment. I'm happy to take her on in this.. (Everyday at WFA actually!!!)

I really like this horse SINNAWAN . He couldn't of been more impressive last start before having a break.

I like these European horses when they have had a good preparation under there belt in Australia and then are sent out for a spell as happy horses. They quite often return the favor and have big preps next time in!

He really could be in for a very big preparation this horse and he has jumped out well in prep for this...

While I think 1400-1600m may be his ideal trip, there's nothing wrong with him kicking off in a solidly run 1200m race where he should get all the favors and do no work early from barrier 2.

STREETS OF AVALON ($9) is an old beauty and he's really well suited at WFA conditions. He ran a bottler in the G1 Manikato stakes 3 starts back coming off a very similar 6 week freshen up, like he does here.. Foolish to put a pen through him..

JUST FOLK ($34) might be the joker in the pack that blows them all out at a price!!?! He's a talented galloper this bloke and while I'm sure he will be better for the outing, a big fresh run with a flashing light all over it won't surprise! 🐎🚨👀

WILD PLANET ($11), ORDER OF COMMAND ($26) & even GAME KEEPER ($91) are 3 roughies that I would also include in wider quaddies.

🟥 MOONEY VALLEY RACE 8 🟥

🏆R8 no12 MIDWEST ($3.5)

🥈R8 no10 ECLIPSE SOLAR ew ($19)

🥉R8 no8 BLUESTONE LANE ew ($23)

Midwest hasn't beaten much in his 3 victories this time in, but he's disposed of what's been in front of him with consumate ease (especially last start).

His on pace/front running racing pattern is also something that is hard to knock, particular around this tight turning circuit... He's a deserved favorite in the race.

The Brown pair in ECLIPSE SOLAR ($19) & BLUESTONE LANE- ($23)- (Flies fresh) are the two big queries in the race and certainly over the odds...

BLUESTONE LANE was a handy horse in Singapore (particularly fresh) and was given some absolute putrid rides last campaign.

ECLIPSE SOLAR needs 1200-1400m to show his best, but from a good gate, with a good jockey on board, he's the sniper in the field if they over cook it early and hel sprint quickly at them late on!!

At the $20+ for both BLUESTONE LANE & ECLIPSE SOLAR they are certainly worth entertaining small each way investments.

🏆R5 no2 BEA TEMPTED win ($3.5)

She's a new addition to the Jolly stable this girl and she thrashed them last start, when she let down strongly at Murray Bridge, when she circled them from the 800m, covered ground, went early and still beat them... It was an impressive win!!

She actually meets the 2nd fav TRADEWIND slightly better at the weights for beating him last time so I can't see him turning the tables here, if BEA TEMPTED has even luck in running...

She looks a good play again this week to go back to back!!
