♎ RACE 1- 3YO HCP, 1500m ♎

💥#5 RED SUN SENSATION ew ($4.6)

‍

I've got a bit of time for this 3YO #5 RED SUN SENSATION from the inform Peter Moody camp... 

‍

He looks a progressive type this bloke, who will only improve as he gets out in distance this preparation.

‍

His first up win at Geelong over an unsuitable 1200m trip was excellent. 

‍

Its hard to envisage that he was screwed down for that assignment either?!

‍

They ran 4-5 lens quicker than the other 1200m Maiden on the same day, that stable mate #7 ELEGANT DIVA ($5.5) also won impressively. 

‍

#2 MAJOR BEEL ($4.4) for mine looks the danger... He comes down from NSW and brings some decent form lines with him... 

‍

He also looks the only real pace influence in the race!? Soft lead!?? Definite threat.

♎ RACE 4- G2, FEEHAN STAKES, 1600M ♎

‍

💥#4 EARLSWOOD ew ($4.4)

‍

A small field and lack of notable on pace runners in this, may work right into the hands of #4 EARLSWOOD here. 

‍

He draws marble 1 and the inform Damien Lane sticks with him. 

‍

First up last prep he was very impressive when knocking off Callsign Mav & Spanish Mission. 

‍

He also boasts a 2 from 3 first up record.

‍

He obviously then had a small setback after that run and was immediately spelled for 26 weeks.

‍

He looks to be ticking over well for this first up assignment with a nice quiet jump out recently at Casterton when he cruised to the line untouched..

‍

#2 MR BRIGHTSIDE ($2) is a deserved favorite. His first up win was excellent... 

‍

He's clearly returned in very good form and he's already a winner at the track (1 from 1).

‍

I'm not sure #6 INSPIRATIONAL GIRL ($4.8) will be suited by the likely slow tempo up front. 

‍

She's a highly talented mare, that oozes class,  but I tend to think she will take benefit from this first up run and be ready to fire 2nd up on a bigger track like Flemington.

♎ RACE 5- G2 MCEWEN STAKES, 1000m ♎

💥#7 COOLANGATTA win ($2.3)

‍

Hot race!!! But I'm firmly in the corner of the 3YO filly here #7 COOLANGATTA. 

‍

She was a dominant 2YO last season, with the Golden Slipper (3rd) being the only time she tasted defeat. She wast then given a good break/freshen up by the camp (16 weeks).

‍

If her jump outs are any indication on how she has returned this time in, then she's in for one hell of spring this filly!! 

‍

She looks to have returned a bigger and stronger girl and her work has been nothing short of OUTSTANDING!! 😳

‍

With only 50kgs on her back, she looks a near weighted certainy in this if she brings her track work to race day.

‍

♎ RACE 7- LISTED, 1200m ♎

💥#13 CALYPSO REIGN ew ($14)

💥#4 RANGES ew ($7)

Happy to be in the corner of the big grey  #13 CALYPSO REIGN ($14) each way here. 

‍

He looks to be in career best form this 6YO and the stable certainly know when to bring the right one across the border and strike..!. 

‍

His win last start in the Spring Stakes with 58.5kgs on his back was very good and he beat up some handy types while doing so..

‍

He drops in weight significantly here (54kgs) and he should get the desired tempo on up front that will suit his, get back/ run on pattern.

‍

Providing the track is allowing horses to run on, then he might get the last shot at them here and is more than capable of running  over the top of them at a big price!!? ⚡💨

‍

#4 RANGES ($7) is another 6YO gelding, in arguably career best form.

‍

He was very good last start behind a potential top liner in UNCOMMON JAMES.

‍

He drew barrier 9 on that occasion and was forced to do it the hard way throughout... It was a BIG run all things considering!!

‍

He draws Gate 1 and gets Mark Zahra this time... He's in this up too his ears! 

‍

♒ ALLIGATOR BLOOD- Never got a shot at them at any stage in the straight...Looked to be bolting.

‍

Forget he went around. He can bounce back hard 2nd up. I wouldn't be dropping off him.. 

‍

He also needed the run as well after missing a lead up trial and work leading into this first up run. He's In for a good prep still. 

‍

♒ DUAIS- Was ok. Clearly needs much further. Getting ready for a Melb Cup.. 

‍

Worked home ok last 200m. Can improve sharply 2nd and 3rd up. 

‍

♒ ILLATION- Poor.  Was given no hope in the run, shunted 5 wide at 700m .. Gave up in straight.. Concerning return..??

‍

♒I'M THUNDERSTRUCK - Outstanding!! He's come back as good as ever! 

‍

He has got some big G1 mile races with his name on them this spring.. He's a beauty!! ⭐

‍

♒CASCADIAN - HUGE!! what a run... He had trialled up terrific behind ANOMOE leading into this first up run, do the writing was on the wall for a big first up performance..  

‍

He got a long way out of his ground as usual early..  BUT Closed off like he always does with some of the best late sectionals of the day! 

‍

He's In for yet another big prep. He's a marvel this horse...

‍

♒ TOFANE- Ridiculous of connections to bring her out of retirement. She should of stayed there and has now been retired again ..  

‍

Let's hope it's for good this time as she's been a terrific mare for a LONG TIME and owes them nothing..

‍
