Today, we roll into the 3rd day of the FLEMINGTON carnival, OAKS DAY, traditionally known as Ladies Day 💃

While the track is currently rated a Soft 6, with the high possibility of rain on the day, the chances of us working on a Heavy 8 surface is more likely than not! #NotIdeal

Cup Day was a big one for the team, with our two BEST BETS on the card saluting in WHITE MARLIN & DETONATOR JACK who was ultra impressive at good odds.

🟧🔮 RACE 5- BM90- 1800🔮🟧

⭐#12 SAINT BATHANS ew ($5)

Looks a good race for #4 ALCYONE ($4)….

He looks to be arriving here, at a track he flies on in just theright type of form to strike.

Throw in the fact that he handles wet conditions, he gets James McDonald and he boasts good form around horses like  ELLSBERG, ARYTON & co, then he looks the one to beat in this grade.

#12 SAINT BATHANS ($5) is flying and looks to be improving with each and every run this prep.

He's also 3/3 on Heavy tracks, so if the rain comes, his chances only improve!

I've just about had a skinfull of this mare #9 DOUCEUR ($13)....  She's becoming a bit of pest..  

I keep waiting for her to explode and show some of the traits she showcased last spring, but she's a mare that just finds ways to get beaten. She's mastered it.

She's impossible to ignore and a  must for exotic type bets. She  could blow these away on her day.

BUT you are very much taking her on trust these days.....

🟧 🔮RACE 6- MUMM STAKES- 1000M 🔮🟧

⭐#3 ZOUSTYLE ($3.6)
⭐#2 HALVORSEN ($7)
⭐#4 ATHELRIC ($8)

Had to admire the  Ex- Hong Kong galloper #5 JOYFUL FORTUNE ($3.8) demolition job of them on a Heavy track here up the straight first up.. He adored the wet conditions.

He then didn't disgrace himself when thrown right in the deep end in the Everest, when beaten under 5 lens behind our best sprinters.

Getting back to 1000m, on a rain affected track and a big drop in class are all key factors here...  The one too beat.

#3 ZOUSTYLE ($3.6) also brings very strong G1 formlines. He also goes on soft ground.

His last two runs he's finished right on the heels of horses like BELLA NIPPOTINA, PAULELE & COOLANGATTA...  Impossible to knock him. Can win.

#2 HALVORSEN ($7) is just a deadset old marvel....

Write him off at your own peril in anything that involves him and the Flemington straight..

His recent jump out was also very very good, when 3rd behind a couple of very good jump out horses in JIGSAW & KATSU.

He worked home lovely in his last jump out and while he wouldn't want it too wet, he just refuses to run badly at this track and he goes in everything.

#4 ATHELRIC ($8)...  2nd to EDUARDO first up! Goldolphin, Wet tracks, Jmac- All ticks. A must.

🟧🔮 RACE 7- MCC FINAL - 1400m 🔮🟧

⭐#4 ATOMIC GOLD*** ew ($10)
⭐#5 BOOKMAN ew  ($9.5)

I know he is  being asked to carry a big weight this horse #4 ATOMIC GOLD ($10)

Along with giving  some key hopes a fair bit of weight, but I think Dan Bowman has just got this 5YO in rare form.

He has deadset gone to another level this preparation, and the likelihood of a Heavy surface, only enhances his winning chances...  He's a deadset swimmer (3/3 on Heavy tracks)

Last start he disposed of CORONA LAD with ease and while Corona Lad meets him far better at the weights this time..  I don't think it'll be enough to turn the tables..

He looks one of the better bets on the card for mine at a lovely each way quote ($10)

#5 BOOKMAN ($9.5) is also in career best form and boasts an unblemished record on Heavy tracks (2/2)...  

He trounced them last start, gets JMac and is a 4 x winner from 6 goes over this distance ...

I want to be saving on him each way in this.

#16 MI ROCK ALY ($23) is a genuine blowout chance in this if the tempo is hot  early and they over do it up front.  

She has always shown ability this horse and first up for a new stable, she produced her career best run to date.

She's more than capable of swooping home at a price in this and featuring right in the finish.

#12 AIRCLASH ($17) is another who has found his mojo this time in and was very good last start again when he 2nd behind #9 PROWLING.

AIRCLASH meets that horse far better at the weights this time and is also (1/1) on Heavy tracks. He's a must for Quads.

🏆 RACE 8- Group 1, OAKS, 3YO Fillies 🏆

⭐#1 SHE'S EXTREME ($2.6)
⭐#8 QUEEN AIR ($9)
⭐#2 ZENZELLA ($6)
⭐#10 MAKRANA ($51)

While it's the feature race on the card, I really find it one of the more uninteresting races on the entire card....

#1 SHE'S EXTREME is the most brilliant horse in the race and if she can run the 2500m, then she's the one to beat...  But can she!??

#8 QUEEN AIR ($8) has been getting home with a flashing light on her head her past couple and I envisage the distance being of no concern.  But is she a winner? We are yet  know.

⭐#2 ENGLISH RIVIERA ($8.5)

Very forgiving of #4 BOUND FOR HOME ($11) run first up at Mooney Valley on a ridiculously on paced biased surface (surprise surprise).

She is also very effective on wet tracks and can bounce back hard here.

#16 SPICY HOTPOT ($34) is the big overs in the race for mine...

While she comes through some moderate races,  her win on a Heavy 8 track, 2nd up in her first campaign was very good!

She really let go strongly in the ground!! That alone brings her right into this race and I would be keeping her very safe here.

#GREECE ($4) was brilliant first up. But that was on a Soft track...  

The big query has to be a Heavy track if that is what she faces here.

She was well supported on a Heavy surface in her first campaign and was flogged. She didn't look to go a yard in it......???

#13 LA DANSEUSE ROUGE ($13) Is a big strong filly who has slipped under the guard of punters twice this campaign...

She is an honest big girl this one, and God give her strength too, as she's a horse we bred! 😁🤞

A lovely  Group 3 win on her pedigree page would certainly make her a valuable broodmare in the years to come.
