Jig's BETU Racing Preview - Saturday 11th December

After yet another big weekend for the BetU, TopSport and Piranha Media followers last weekend at PAKENHAM, Jig goes into this weekend's FLEMINGTON meeting with his tail right up! 

Along with previewing the big Flemington meeting on Saturday, Jig also gives us his other Best Bets around the country along with some nice horses to follow on Friday evening where we can build a weekend bank!

🇦🇺 FLEMINGTON 🐎

🟥 RACE 1 - (2YO's, 1100m)

Great/tricky little race!  Think there are 5 winning chances in this opening event.

Danny Obriens two debutantes look pretty smart -(STUPENDO- $5 & HELL HATH NO FURY- $5.5)...  

I couldn't split them from the jump outs... HELL HATH NO FURY- possibly a touch more professional than the stable mate/colt..

The Goldolphin pair (KIN -$10 & VA VIA -$6) also jumped out very nicely.. VA VIA probably the pick of the Goldolphin pair for mine and Oliver rides.. (Forever wary of the Boys in Blue 2YO's! 🧐)

Best of the already raced brigade I thought was the Archie Alexander's -KUMICHO (He was a terrific 5th on debut!!)... 

He got way out of his ground on debut but I  really like the way he stretched out late off a tough run...  He has a bright future this youngster.

The filly OUT OF AFLICA was good on debut. She Is also nominated for a race at MORPHETVILLE Saturday and looks much better placed there (Where she looks a real standout! )

🟥 RACE 2.

HASSELTOFF ($8.5) was ridden upside-down last start ("Willowed") when he lead on him!?? 😨...  Idiotic tactics... Duly sacked. 

McNeil jumps on this time and safe to assume, hel give him every chance this time..  He can bounce back hard here.

ELUDING ($2.6) flying this time in and gets in well here after the 3kg claim.. Sits on pace, so piloting errors less likely.. Right in this again.

BRASADA ($8.5) is going really well this prep, but he's his own worst enemy this horse. 

He can be tardy out of the gates at times, gets back in running, he relies on tempo and pretty much everything to fall his way this horse...  Long story short= He's a heartbreaker! He can win if all the cards fall his way... But will they!!?? 

🟥 RACE 3 - (Fillies &Mares 1100m)

Thought the Adelaide visitors/stablemates DIAMONDS ($8) and CHOSEN BLONDE ($6) have found a lovely race to pop across the border and tackle.. 

DIAMONDS has been steered by two very poor jockeys her past two in Adelaide and gets C.Williams this time and draws nicely up the Flemington straight.. 

"Ditto" CHOSEN BLONDE.  

Love sticking with these mares in this type of form when they travel across the border. (Here's hoping DIAMONDS doesn't get "Willowed")..

DANCE TO DUBAI ($3.8) has come back super and a deserved favorite in this.... She toyed with them last start at the valley and being only 3rd up here, she is capable of going to another level here ... The one to beat..

SCORE ($16) is the best roughie in the race and is a mare who's had more than her fair share of issues... She could improve lens here 2nd up and should be kept safe.

🟥 RACE 4 - (2500m)

Not a big fan of the race, but I thought SARACEN KNIGHT ($10) was good last start and presents good each way value in this.

He looked like he was going to play a part in the finish his past couple when having limited room late on when he was just starting to build revvs into the race.. 

Out to 2500m, with the big wide open spaces of Flemington, there will be no excuses and his "D-Day" has arrived! 

PILOTE ($7.5) had an easy kill last start and it was a deserved win for his consistency. This is harder, but he is well weighted, gets Johnny Allen and the 2500m poses absolutely no problems.

🟥 RACE 5 - (3YO's 1400m)

Really like the  Mike Moroney trained 3YO - PHILADELPHIA STORM in this at big odds ($34 into $13 already)

He is a talented 3YO that made a mess of a moderate maiden field at Wangaratta, but I loved the manner he did it in...

He will really appreciate the big wide open Flemington spaces and I think he is a horse that will only improve with racing . (Draws barrier 4, should do no work early).. 

GUARDIAN SPIRIT ($4.2) is a talented colt and draws ideally in gate 1 to get the run of the race tucked in behind them doing no work... He's not the finished product yet, but he is talented and very well placed here..

The Toppy CHEERFUL LEGEND has been luckless this prep and will appreciate getting back to Flemington also..  He looks big overs at $18 in current markets and is  more of a $7-8 chance in my opinion.

🟥 RACE 6 - (B84, 1400m)

Like the American mare LIGHTHOUSE ($2.6) again in this.. (She's been good to us, bless her)

She looks to have again found the ideal race to progress through her grades here. Sher easily accounted for Frankie Pinot last start and that horse then went on to frank (pardon the pun) that form last Saturday at Pakenham.

She draws ideally in barrier 5, gets in lovely with only 57.5kgs after the claim with Matty Cartwright riding (Good jockey/apprentice) and looks extremely hard to beat again.

I was definitely more confident in her chances last time, but she's very progressive/right stable and I think she wins again. 

BERMADEZ ($5) the clear danger for mine.(D.Oliver).

He beat "Typhoon Harmony" last start and  that horse was then super impressive at his next start killing them at Ballarat in a nice race. That horse reeled off some really good sectionals at the same time enhancing the form from his last outing . 

Hard to knock his winning chances in this and it would be wise saving on him each way..

🟥 RACE 7 - KENSINGTON STAKES.

CAPRICCIO- ($18) - 54kgs. -(Fresh/straight track specialist this mare/More often than not over the odds also!!.) ...  

HALVORSON ($5.5)- Great straight track horse. (But 60kgs???-$5.5 tad of unders for mine) 

TEQUILA TIME ($6)- (54kgs)... Absolutely airborne this time in across the border in Adelaide this horse.. Very well weighted here and in rare form! Can win.!!! 

MILEVA ($6)- Absolutely flying this prep and can win again here! ...  That Minahaaj/Ballistic Lover race last start rated very very well!! Bound to be right in the finish here! 

🟥 RACE 8.

GOOD AND PROPER ($7) is starting to push the friendship and fast becoming a "Gunna horse", but she is racing extremely well! Looks a lovely race for her and if the pace is genuine, she will charge at them late! 

SIGN OF USSURI ($8) was luckless last start and will really appreciate the bigger track here.. Going well, but he does draw a sticky gate and I'm not convinced this horse needs a 3kg ckaimer swinging off his mouth!?? 😨

JUST BENJAMIN ($9) and HUNTLEY CASTLE ($23) both having terrific preps and can figure again here.

🟥 RACE 9 - (B70, 1200m)

SIXBYSIXTYTHREE ($5) is 3 from 3 and taking all before him as he rises through the grades. 

He's a nice horse this guy and barrier 21 might just be the ideal gate for him up the Flemington straight so he can have them all racing to his inside... 

He's a progressive horse and the $5 on offer, looks a good each way price and he can keep his unbeaten record intact here.

KENTUCKY CASANOVA was very good first up at Sandown.  He showed a really neat turn of foot when thrashing them at the midweeks..

Much like SIXBYSIXTYTHREE, he's another that still has good upside to come in his career and can win! 

I've had a gutfull of HOUSAY ($13) this prep. He has been very well fancied at his first two runs back this prep after impressive trials/jump outs, but he has just looked a tad dour when put under extreme pressure..  

LA BELLA COSTA ($34) could be the blowout if there happened to be one.. He saves his best for this straight track and I liked his run two back when only finishing 2 lens off the airborne IT'SOURTIME and DUCHESS OF DORSETT, who would both blow this field away!!! A must for quaddies!!

TOFFS CHOICE ($81) the other big big overs in the race who could sprint well fresh and shock these!! Another must for quaddies.
